As a practitioner, Meredith provides comprehensive advice and counseling, workforce and management training, contract and policy drafting, and internal investigation services with respect to all aspects of the employment relationship.

For her business clients, she facilitates best practices that protect the organization and minimize workplace disruption, and assists clients in resolving challenging personnel situations to avoid legal disputes. Meredith advises clients with respect to employee compensation, compliance issues, hiring, medical leaves, accommodations, internal complaints of discrimination and harassment, and employee discipline and termination, including reductions in force and severance agreements. She drafts and negotiates employment contracts, policies, personnel handbooks, separation agreements, and restrictive covenants to protect institutional confidential information, customer relationships, and other intellectual property and human capital.

Meredith also advices executives, professionals and physicians with respect to contract negotiations and navigating post-employment separation packages and restrictive covenants.

Although Meredith is no longer litigating on behalf of clients at Jeffries Resolution Services, her mediation, arbitration, internal investigation, and legal practices are all informed by her three decades representing businesses of all sizes — from start-ups to Fortune 100 companies — in litigation matters, arbitrations, and administrative claims involving employment discrimination (including gender, race, pregnancy, age, disability, and religion disputes), wrongful discharge, sexual harassment, retaliation and whistleblowing, state and federal wage and hour disputes, restrictive covenants, trade secrets, contract and business disputes, and labor issues.

Meredith and her husband John have three adult children, and split their empty nest time between Charlotte, Bald Head Island, NC and their son’s college baseball games.
